- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- ½ cup yogurt (plain or flavored)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Ice cubes (optional for a thicker texture)
Instructions
- Wash the strawberries and peel the banana. If using fresh strawberries, you may want to remove the stems.
- In a blender, combine the strawberries, banana, milk, and yogurt.
- If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, add honey or maple syrup to taste.
- Secure the lid on your blender and blend on high speed until all ingredients are combined and smooth. If you’re using frozen strawberries, blending may take a few extra seconds.
- If you want a thicker smoothie, add a few ice cubes and blend again until smooth.
- Taste your smoothie and adjust sweetness or consistency as needed by adding more milk or sweetener.
- Pour the smoothie into a glass. If you like, garnish with a slice of strawberry or banana on the rim.
