Description

Delicious homemade chicken egg rolls filled with shredded chicken and green onions, perfect for an appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 10 egg roll wrappers
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh green onions
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • Cooking oil for frying (enough to fill the pan about 2 inches)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, garlic powder, soy sauce, and chopped green onions.
  2. Lay an egg roll wrapper flat on a clean surface. Place 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture diagonally across one corner.
  3. Fold the sides inward and roll tightly to seal the egg roll. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the egg rolls in batches for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a crispier texture, ensure the oil is hot enough before adding the egg rolls.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or cabbage to the filling.
