Description

Delicious cheddar ham biscuits, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk, adjust as needed
  • 3/4 cup deli ham, diced
  • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (or your favorite cheese)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or herbs, optional for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and optional garlic powder or herbs.
  3. Add cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in diced ham and shredded cheese evenly.
  5. Gradually add milk, stirring until a soft dough forms. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet (or lightly flour your hands and form rounds). Space about 1 inch apart.
  7. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until golden brown on top.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with butter or enjoy on their own.
